Jeremy and I celebrated our 1st Anniversary on March 26th. I can't believe that it has only been a year, it seems like we have been together forever. We weren't able to celebrate that day, so we decided that we would celebrate while Hayden was gone to Kauai.
Jeremy planned the last weekend and so he said that I was in charge of planning this weekend :-( I don't like being in charge.
April 18th, Friday afternoon we left our house and drove to Salt Lake. We went to the Gateway and while we were taking the elevator to the shopping levels the elevator stopped and all the lights went out. I started to panic because I had to go the bathroom and I was imagining being in there for a long time. We used a cell phone light to see the buttons. We pushed different different floors, door open, and rang the alarm. Then we found the phone and we called. The operator was able to get the elevator to open at the next level. Thank goodness.
I had planned for us to see some shows at the Clark Planetarium. First we saw Mummies on the IMAX screen (for Jeremy). After that show we had time to walk around to some shops. The Gateway was getting set up for the Salt Lake Marathon which was going to be the next day, so there was a lot of people there. At 9:00 we went to the U2 Laser show, I was excited, you know how much I love Bono. The show wasn't as good as others I had seen.
That night we stayed at a hotel in Sandy. Saturday Morning we slept in and then we went to brunch at one of our most favorite places, Normandie. I have never gotten anything I didn't love there.
The weather was windy most of the day, but we went golfing anyway. We went 9 holes at the Mick Riley course in Murray. It was our first round of the season and we were excited to see if our driving range trips had paid off.
After Golfing we went to The Shane Company to look at rings. Jeremy gave me a very pretty diamond for our anniversary. I want to have it made into a right hand ring. The Shane Company doesn't do custom rings so we will have to find a place that does.
After that we went shopping at the Mall. I was lucky to find some church clothes. I always look but can never find any skirts I like.
So by now it was about 8:00 p.m. and we hadn't eaten dinner yet. So to the Cheesecake Factory it was. We had gone there 2 weeks earlier and loved it. We shared one meal and got two desserts, we wanted some for Sunday too. The food there is so good.
We got home about midnight and crashed into bed.
What a fun weekend we had.

Your weekend sounds relaxing and alot of fun. I can't believe it's been a year already. Andrew and I celebrate 12 years on Mother's Day...we're still trying to come up with something fun to do, but it's hard arranging babysitting for 4 kids!!
If you need any custom jewelry work done, you should call Andrew's brother James. He owns his own jewelry store in Provo and is an absolutely amazing jeweler - he can do just about everything. He made my wedding ring, Cami's wedding ring, etc. Email me and I'll give you all his contact info if you want.
Sounds like you had a great weekend! I can't believe it's already been a year. We still need to get together some time soon. I hope Hayden had a fun time on her little trip. talk to you soon-
I can't believe it has already been a year! The time has gone by so fast and you are so spoiled! You two are so lucky to have each other! I am so glad you had fun! You deserve it!
congrats on 1 year! Sounds like you had an awesome weekend other than being trapped in an elevator...I would have died. That is one of my biggest fears. I just discovered your blog through britany's and will try and stay more updated. I wish we could come out and visit more often. Glad you guys are doing great!
Oh my gosh...I know what you mean by being lucky to find church clothes! I have been on a search for a while with no luck! It's been a while since I have seen the three of you! So, it's nice to check your blog when I get a min. to see cute pics of you guys. Take care, hope to see you soon! love, Carrie
