Spring Break '11

Spring break can be a blast if you are organized and plan ahead, but when you are a working mom and the April calender comes home and you see a week of no school and you have forgotten to schedule time off or figure out what your only child will do, it can be sure panic. First Hayden gave me a guilt trip of how ALL her friends were going to St. George or out of town. Then I gave myself a guilt trip for not scheduling it down in my new phone when I got it and for never planning anything......But it ended up being fun.
Hayden got to spend two days with Harmony and Devyn at J.D.'s house watching his kids and hanging out with Jacee, one day with Nanna at school making jewelry and then I was able to take Thursday off.

Thursday a group of us traveled down to the Carl Block exhibit at the BYU Museum of Art. The paintings depicting Christ's life were amazing to witness and its good to give the kids a little culture.  The paintings came from Europe and had only been moved for this exhibit, so I knew it was a once in a lifetime opportunity.
Then we took the 5 kids to AirBourne Trampoline Arena in Draper. WOW! was it fun. Wall to wall tramps and foam pits. Us adults even did it. Talk about a work out. We were all so worn out
Jon-David's flip
Harmony's jump in
My Flip
Once you landed in the pit it took some energy to get out
Gabe's awesome gymnastics

We had a great day with a lot of good food too.

Friday I took Hayden and Shyla to the new movie, "Soul Surfer." It was fun to see all the places on Kauai that we had been. It really was a great movie with a great message. I recommend it to all.
Spring break ended up being good after all.

Sounds like you definitely made a fun spring break, and the weather wasn't the best to travel in anyway! The trampoline place does look fun! I can see that it does look like it would take a bit of energy to get out of the foam pit but thats half the fun.
I also keep telling myself I want to go the the BYU exhibit. Hopefully I can make it happen. :)
