Shout Out to Cannon

This is shout out to my brother Cannon. Cannon has always been a life saver. He is so thoughtful, so giving and is always willing to help anyone. He is funny and light-hearted and sees the best in everyone. I am so thankful for Cannon and for his willingness to help me, Jeremy and Hayden .
Cannon has been coming to my house 2 days a week at 6 A.M. Jeremy and I have to me to work at 6:30. He comes and gets Hayden ready for school. Hayden always looks forward to him being there. He wakes her up and feeds her breakfast, takes care of the crazy dog and takes her to school, and then he goes to work. I wake Hayden up before I leave and do her hair, but he has even offered to do that.
It's not like Cannon doesn't have anything else to do. He works at the same hospital with me and Jeremy, he is a waiter at the Coppermill, he is taking classes at Utah State, he is in a band that practices and performs regularly. He is one busy guy.
I don't know what we would do without him. Thank you Cannon for being so unselfish and waking up at the crack of dawn to help us in a major way.
Cannon is the best Uncle and Brother anyone could have, I don't know anyone like him. He is going to be the best husband and father someday..........Did I mention he is single?

Watch Out for Falling Rock and Roll

On Friday night we (me, hayden, ragan, mom, ted, abbey & todd) went to watch The Castanettes in concert at a house up by campus. Cannon and his friends have been the Castanettes since high school. They are about to have another CD out here in the next few weeks.
The house was completely slammed. I wish you could of see how crowded it was. Their music is rock and roll with many instruments. Cannon sings, plays the piano, the accordion, the trumpet and anything he can teach himself.

I took Hayden and Ragan and it was pretty funny to see their faces. You can't tell, but they are standing on the back of a couch resting on the fridge. That was the safest spot for them.

These girls are hilarious, because they kept trying to do hand signs to look like crazy concert fans.
After the show we went outside to wait for our favorite band member to come out so we could get his autograph.
Rock on Castanettes! (Ragan has invented her own hand sign) Don't ask me what it is.

Late Christmas wrap up

The Newcomb's Christmas party is always fun. We look forward to times when we get to see everyone. We had an nice adult dinner while the kids stayed at Julie's. It was nice not to have the kids for a moment and be able to talk with everyone.
This is everyone after the party. Its a pretty large group. Preston was the only one missing, he had to work.
Jessica played Christmas songs on her violin. She is amazing. Everyone enjoys when she plays.

Back at home, this is a collage of Hayden's Christmas. She got a new bedding set with a duvet and duvet cover. It is very cozy she says.

Hayden with all her new clothes.

Hayden's main gift from Santa was an American Girl. She was very excited and said she has always wanted one of these, even though she hadn't ever asked for one. I hadn't realized that when she went with my family a few years ago to New York, that they had gone to the American Girl Factory and had a tea party.

Christmas was here and gone before we knew it.

A Change Is Good

For the last year, we have been trying to decide what to do with ourselves. That sounds a little strange, but that's what we have been doing. We have been deciding between moving, school, and family.
So after many ideas, thoughts and prayers we have come to the decision to stay put and enjoy the Cache Valley while we can.
Jeremy quit his crazy traveling job and got a job in Logan. Jeremy also applied to Utah State University. Today he will start his classes. We have a long way to go, but we are both going to work hard and be optimistic.
We will both be working 5 days a week. Jeremy is also taking classes 5 days a week in the evening. I have banished him from all house work. (he is such a clean freak I know its going to kill him) Life will be crazy these next few years, but it will be worth it in the end, we both know.
We will keep you posted on his progress.

GO AGGIES!
