The Newcomb Family Road Trip

Every summer Jeremy's family plans a weekend together, and this year it was a road trip.
Friday we left and his whole family went to his oldest sister, Amy's, house in Thayne Wyoming, which is north of Afton. There are 28 people all together. We grilled our dinner, had a cookie contest, played Catch Phrase and got to talk. Kids slept in tents outside and different families slept in different rooms. We shared the living room with Jessica and Tim. Hayden got to sleep in a tent with Brittany and Melissa.

Saturday morning after breakfast we all drove to Idaho Falls. We went to the Museum of Idaho. They had a Titanic exhibit that we walked through. I have to admit, I was not very excited about this part and I really thought the kids would be bored, but it was actually really neat and Hayden really enjoyed it.

After the museum we went to the Tautphaus Zoo. (slide show above). What a cool zoo it was. There were many interesting animals that you don't see at every zoo. The animals were lively and walking around. It was cool when the tigers roared at each other.

Saturday night we all ate at Chili's and stay in a hotel with a 24 hour pool. The kids could not wait to swim.

Sunday we went to see the Fall's and the Temple. The weekend was over in no time at all. It always seems so short. It hard for this many people to get together and it only happens once a year, but we sure wish it could happen more often. We had a great time.
